I think our boys got a little jealous after our last race recap because man, they brought their A game to Bryce last weekend. Our men’s ski team defended their title as the speediest and sexiest in the southeast, ranking 1st overall for both days of this GS weekend. Charlie Olsen gave us a sneak peek as to what to expect in the Winter Olympics this weekend, placing 1st on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was especially speedy for men’s ski with Mr.President at 3rd, Gunnar at 4th, and TomJohn taking 5th. Sunday’s races did not disappoint, with a (somehow) even speedier Thomas Johnson coming in at 3rd. Despite missing some of our favorite lady skiers last weekend (*cough* *cough* Cat Deskiski), our women’s ski team rocked it anyway, placing 2nd overall on Day 1. Oh, and our snowboarders? Our manboarders shredded the slopes, earning 5th place overall for the weekend, while our ladyboarders ranked 4th on Day 1 and 5th on Day 2. Shoutout to the speediest and steeziest ladyboarder this past weekend, Jayna Mallon, who placed 5th on both days. After seeing results like this, you’d think VASST would be considered D1, right? With all these athletes, the blue house parking lot should be overflowing with mopeds; however, I saw Emma Harrison WALKING to class yesterday, even after placing 2nd in Women’s Ski. Completely unacceptable, Jim Ryan.
